Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Water Polo

Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Water Polo

The Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Water Polo Competition began in 2002 and since then has grown each year. In 2017 we have excellent numbers, with 82 teams competing from 12 schools. This is a fantastic result and due to a lot of hard work from all nominating schools.
As you will see, the draw is extremely full across most rounds and as such this has resulted in some late games for our Open teams. There were also quite a few bye requests which has resulted in some teams playing two matches in an evening.
Please note that in the Intermediate Boys division there weren’t quite enough teams to be able to open up a B division, however, there will be a B final played during the Finals rounds.
It has been wonderful to see the large number of students go continue represent not only Queensland, but also Australia at National and World Champion events through this schools pathway.
Congratulations to all players who play the great sport of Water Polo and thank you to coaches, volunteers and supporters who support the growing Sport that is embedded as an Olympic event for years to come
